Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) is the only region in the world for which the number of poor individuals has risen dramatically since 1981. There are more than twice as many extremely poor people living in SSA today than three decades ago. Thirty five years ago, 205 million lived in extreme poverty. Today, there are more than 414 million living in most appalling and degrading poverty conditions.
The Regina Good Governance for Africa Organization aims at helping create a well-managed Africa and an Africa that is free of poverty. We shall meet this vision by mobilizing the citizens to demand accountability from leaders, better use of taxes and electing good governance guaranteed leaders.
